How should I position my sponsons on my ski?

Sponson positioning greatly depends on the rider and the ski. It's best to have an idea of what you want out of the ski before installing the sponsons and adjust as close to that. 

The overall height of the backing rail will determine how far the ski can roll into the corner. So the higher the backing rail position is the more it will roll so that the first turn of the ski will take a little longer. This is the same as not using the spacer on any model that includes a space as well. Inversely, the the wider the backing rail is, or the lower it's positioned, the more initial turn the ski has.

The width or height of the backing rail will also be noticed through the middle of the corner and affects whether the ski will stand up too much and want to roll out, or if it has a more neutral turn.

The paddles then can be adjusted to give you more or less of a complete turn, affecting the entry, mid and exit of the corner.

Higher Paddles = Less Steering

Lower Paddle = More Steering

While some people prefer the ski to act and handle one way, others may want it to react entirely differently. 

Individual aspects can also change how a ski handles from one rider to the next, these can include:

  • Rider height
  • Rider weight
  • Rider seating position (eg. if they are over the handle bars, sitting back in the seat, sitting to the side of the seat, etc.)
  • The number of people on the craft
  • Trim angle of ski
  • Amount of fuel
  • Entry speed of ski

 It is best to have an idea of how you want the ski to act before installing the sponsons, and adjust accordingly to achieve as close to the desired feel as possible.

My blow off valve is leaking at idle or not opening, how can I fix this?


Our Version 2 Blow Off Valve provides a great level of adjustability and puts you in control!

For users who want the unit to blow off more easily, we recommend loosening the lock nut and loosening the adjuster screw to provide a softer experience.

For users who want the blow off valve to release at a higher RPM, the lock nut can be loosened and the adjuster screw tightened, for a harder experience.



Please note, each ski is different and the same model ski as another may produce different boost or HP. We recommend testing and fine tuning to find the style that suits you.

SHIPPING COSTS:

Shipping costs vary  and are based on the size and weight of the individual item ordered. The amount due will be calculated at the check out for you. To ensure reliable, fast and economic shipping Worx use a variety of shipping companies including Startrack Express, Fastways couriers and DHL. Please note, we do not deliver to PO Boxes.

CUSTOMS/IMPORT TAXES FOR INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS:

All international customers are responsible for the customs rates within their own countries. RETURNS

RETURNS

We want you to be completely satisfied with your online purchase. If you are unhappy for any reason, we will gladly accept a return of an unused item within 14 business days (domestic returns) or 30 days (international returns) once purchase is received. Items should be in the original condition and unused.

HOW WILL I BE REFUNDED?

We will credit your original method of payment minus original shipping charges and duties paid.

HOW LONG WILL MY REFUND TAKE TO BE PROCESSED?

Once your Return arrives within the warehouse please allow 10 business days for your refund to be processed. You will be notified by email once finalised.

 

CAN I RETURN A SALE ITEM?

All Sale Items purchased are final sale and cannot be returned. We do not offer Refunds or Exchanges on Sale Items.

DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR SHIPPING MY RETURN?

Customers will be responsible for shipping and handling charges to return any unwanted items. If the package does not reach us safely we will not be able to complete the refund, so you may want to send it fully tracked for peace of mind.

FAULTY POLICY

Every product we send out is initially quality controlled, however, if you have received a product with a manufacturing fault we will happily replace it or refund the cost as long as it has been returned within 2 months of purchase. Anything outside of this time frame will be up to our discretion. Please note that wear and tear in the course of normal use is not considered a manufacturing fault.

RETURN POLICY

We will happily accept a return of an item which has not be used in anyway and is returned in it's original condition for a full refund. Please return within 14 business days for Australia/USA and 30 business days for International from the date you received the parcel. Sale items cannot be returned for a refund and are final sale. The Return shipping is payable by the customer and it is recommended to use a tracked method for safe delivery. Worx Racing Components are not responsible for the loss of a returned parcel and the original payment of shipping will not be refunded. We will process your refund within 10 business days of the return arriving to our warehouse, followed by a confirmation email. Worx Racing Components reserves the right to deny a refund of the merchandise returned if they do not meet the requirements of our Return Policy.
